JOINING THE ENLIGHTENED EVENTS CREW

Volunteering at our events is a rewarding experience. We work as a team to support the speakers and assist the participants so everyone has a fantastic and inspiring event experience.

Enlightened Events is looking for crew members who are enthusiastic and courteous to support them with event management.

What will I be asked to do?

There are generally a range of roles available, depending on the event. These may include working as an usher, at the information desk or registration desk, stage management and assisting speakers, as well as, other duties as required.

Will Volunteers be required to attend pre-event training?

For big events, volunteers will be required to attend a briefing prior to the event.

For smaller events, usually you will be asked to arrive prior to the start of the event for a briefing.

You will be given all these details prior to the event you are crewing on.

Do I have to attend the whole event?

Yes, we require crew to be present for the whole event so that they receive all the necessary training and briefings. You may be asked to assist the day before an event or to stay back after the event has finished.

What do I wear?

You will be given an Enlightened Events t-shirt to wear during the event. Please wear black pants or a skirt (no shorts) and clean, comfortable shoes. Volunteers are expected to be well presented at all times.

At the end of the event, please return the t-shirt to the Volunteer coordinator.

Will refreshments be provided?

Generally, only tea and coffee will be provided for volunteers. Please bring your own food or check the venue information to see if food is available for purchase.

What is the minimum age to volunteer?

We require all of our volunteers to be 18 years or over.

Do I require any specific skills to volunteer?

No. We require all of our volunteers to be respectful, courteous and enthusiastic. If you have any special event management skills, please let us know!

1. Make sure you are aged 18 and over
2. Ensure you are available for the entire event
3. Ensure you are available for any pre-event training
